Julia & Marc - It all started with our love of chilli. Everything that we cooked or ate, had chilli on it, or in it! I had worked in some kitchens over the years and love cooking, we both do. Our favourite style of food has always been Mexican which we tried everywhere we lived and visited over the years. Straight from the source in Mexico, United States, Canada, Europe and all over our lovely Australasia. I lived in the US/Canada for a bit and this was where the love of burritos had ignited, and it quickly spread to Julia.
The passion for both of us continued over the years as we traveled the different continents trying everyones take on Mexican. We found what we loved in a burrito and today this is what we serve at Burrito Craft. A mix of modern Mexican with a more authentic approach on the tacos.
We came up with the idea whilst eating a burrito and decided that it would be our craft.. making burritos! I am the Mexican looking Scotsman, an interesting combination, and Julia the otago sheep farmer!
So come down and see us for a burrito, taco or try one of our sides. We've created a kids menu and we can adapt anything to be more kid suitable. And if you feel like it bring along a beer and enjoy the table out front!
